The day arrived; the 28th June 2013. The planned trip to do the Trans-Cambrian way was now a reality. 170 kilometres from Knighton on the English border to Machynlleth (well Dyfi Junction actually) through the best that Mid-Wales has to offer in the way of off road trails and byways.
Mark (99% Chimp) and myself arrived at Machynlleth at 9.00 am and were collected by Mach taxis and ferried to Knighton by minibus. We met all round top chap Paul Mason, who due to work commitments could only join us for the first day.

Coffee and Bara Brith consumed. We were ready for the off, although more faffing was required. Finally at 12:45 we were off on the first leg of the 60 km we planned to cover that day.
